§ MR. JOHN CAMPBELL (Armagh, S.)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether the War Office has made any tests as to the capabilities of the typewriting telegraph instruments, employed in the field services of Germany, Austria, and the United States; and, if so, with what result.
§ MR. BRODRICKWe have no information to show that typewriting telegraph instruments are used in field service by either Germany, Austria or the United States. An instrument of this nature has been tested by the War Office but the report on it is unfavourable.
