HC Deb 28 May 1903 vol 123 cc116-7
DR. FARQUHARSON (Aberdeenshire, W.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the scientific questions raised by the recent outbreak of fever on the "Cornwall," attributed to the use of infected blankets, he will cause an inquiry into the matter to be conducted either by officers of the Royal Army Medical Corps or in conjunction with the medical staff of the Local Government Board.

MR. BRODRICK

I shall not be in a position to reply to any further Questions on the subject of these blankets until I am in possession of the Report from General Officer Commanding in South Africa which has been called for.
