HC Deb 28 May 1903 vol 123 cc126-7
MR. CROMBIE (Kincardineshire)

I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that Imperial taxes in St. Andrews, Dunfermline, and other places in Scotland are collected in licensed premises; and, if so, whether he will put a stop to this practice.

THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Mr. ELLIOT,) Durham

The facts are as stated in the Question. It may be difficult in some cases to obtain other accommodation, but I am in communication with the Inland Revenue on the subject.
