HC Deb 26 May 1903 vol 122 c1793
SIR JOSEPH DIMSDALE (City of London)

To ask the Secretary to the Board of Education whether the provisions of the London Education Bill as to appointment of managers and control by the local authority, would apply to the case of an endowed school which under its scheme of management has to be maintained as a public elementary school if the governors of such school elect not to accept a parliamentary grant.

(Answered by Sir William, Anson.) The reply to the Question depends upon whether the trust deed requires the school to be conducted as a public elementary school or not. Particular cases will be dealt with by the Board when the proper time arrives.
