To ask the Lord Advocate in view of the fact that the Local Government Board for Scotland expended £120 14s. 3d. in respect of glycerinated calf lymph and vaccine lymph during the year ending 31st March last, will he state the quantity of each of the two classes of lymph thus obtained, the source from which each class was procured, and to whom the cost in each case was paid.

(Answered by Mr. A. Graham Murray.) 419 tubes of vaccine lymph were obtained from Dr. Cadell, of Edinburgh, and 2,220 tubes of glycerinated calf lymph from Dr. Blaxall, of the Government Bacteriological Laboratory in London. The amounts paid to these gentlemen respectively were £15 14s. 3d and £105.
