SIR CHRISTOPHER FURNESS (Hartlepool)

To ask Mr. Attorney-General whether he will consider the advisability of amending the law to prevent the nomination of candidates at municipal elections whose previous election has been declared void by a decision of a court of law.

(Answered by Sir Robert Finlay.) Provision is already made by the law for the disqualification of persons convicted of corrupt or illegal practices. I do not know what is the precise alteration of
