HC Deb 12 May 1903 vol 122 cc417-8
MR. WHITMORE (Chelsea)

To ask the Secretary of State for War if he can now state whether it has been decided to remove the Duke of York's Royal Military School from Chelsea; and, if so, what are the grounds on which this decision has been arrived at, and what use it is proposed to make of its site.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) It has been decided to remove the Duke of York's School from Chelsea. As has already been stated in this House, the existing buildings are inadequate and the site is unsuitable for any increased accommodation. The question of the disposal of the site has not been settled.
