§ SIR EDWARD SASSOON (Hythe)To ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies if any steps are being taken to connect Cocos Islands and Ceylon by means of a spur cable; and, if not, will he state whether an early decision in conjunction with the India Office in relation thereto is likely to be reached.
