To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether be can announce the date on which the new rations system for the Navy will come into operation.

(Answered by Mr. Arnold-Forster.) The new scheme of rations has already been put into force for the boys' training ships. It is expected that arrangements will be made for the issue of rations on the new scheme for the whole of the Fleet at all stations throughout the world not later than the 1st October.
