HC Deb 05 March 1903 vol 118 c1546
SIR BRAMPTON GURDON (Norfolk, N.)

To ask the Secretary to the Treasury if he can inform the House whether it is still proposed, as stated in the Supplementary Estimates, to subject the expenditure out of the grant-in-aid of the Transvaal and Orange River Territory to audit by the Comptroller and Auditor General.

(Answered by Mr. Hayes Fisher.) Yes. It is entirely for the Comptroller and Auditor General to decide, having regard to the terms on which the Grant has been voted by Parliament, as to the nature and extent of the audit which he will apply.
