HC Deb 30 June 1903 vol 124 cc925-6
MR. THOMAS O'DONNELL

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Congested Districts Board has inquired into the necessity for a new pier at Smerwick Dingle; and whether, seeing that the Union is wholly congested and the rates are at present 9s. 6½d. in the £, under the circumstances, the question will be specially considered.

MR. WYNDHAM

The Board, three years ago, offered to contribute towards the cost of extending or improving the existing slip at Smerwick. That offer still holds good if the County or District Council desires to take advantage of it.
