To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will state the number of accidents which have occurred on the Glasgow Corporation electric tramway system during the year ending the 1st June last, distinguishing fatal accidents to persons from injuries to persons not resulting in death; and will he quote the number of accidents causing damage to goods, vehicles, animals, and other property.

The Board of Trade are informed by the General Manager of the Glasgow Corporation Tramways that the number of accidents which occurred on the Corporation electric tramway system during the year ending 31st May last causing injury to persons was ninety, resulting in the death of twenty-four persons, and that during the same period there were fifty-five accidents which caused material damage to property. It is added that the number of car miles run in the twelve months referred to was 14,008,750, and the number of passengers carried 177,179,549.
