YOXALL (Nottingham, W.)To ask the Civil Lord of the Admiralty whether the Lords of the Admiralty have arrived at any conclusion with regard to the position, pay, and pension of naval schoolmasters, principal or assistant, or both; and if he can announce the prospect of an improvement for members of this branch of the service.
543 (Answered by Mr. Arnold-Forster.) As I informed the hon. Member for Portsmouth on the 11th March‡ naval schoolmasters, as chief petty officers, participate in the benefits of the improved scale of pension recently granted to chief petty officer ratings. As regards the questions of position and pay I am unable at present to add anything to my replies to the hon. Member's Questions of the 23rd March and the 2nd April.‡
