HC Deb 11 June 1903 vol 123 cc631-2
MR. HARWOOD (Bolton)

To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty, whether, seeing that the sewage from the marine barracks and hospital at Walmer is discharged crude into the sea immediately opposite the town, he will explain why the Admiralty has declined to join the authorities of the town in establishing a system of treatment for this sewage.

(Answered by Mr. Pretyman.) The Admiralty have not declined to join the local authorities in establishing an improved sewage system. They have for a long time past been urging them to establish such a system.
