The following figures represent the income so derived, so far as it can be identified in the Statistics of the Income Tax, but such figures must not be regarded as representing the whole of the profits derived from British capital invested abroad. 1881–82, £30,600,000; 1891–92. £54,700,000; 1901–02, £62,600,000.
