HC Deb 24 July 1903 vol 126 cc226-7
SIR THOMAS DEWAR (Tower Hamlets, St. George's)

To ask the First Lord of the Treasury if the Defence Committee will consider the desirability of establishing wireless telegraphy stations at strategic points in Northern India, and at selected British ports in the Far East.

(Answered by Mr. A. Balfour.) The question of the most desirable places for the establishment of wireless telegraphy stations is one which is constantly under the consideration of the Government Departments, and the eastern portions of the Empire are not omitted from their survey.
