To ask the Secretary of State for India, seeing that in the month of February last the Chief Engineer of Public Works, Calcutta, made a survey of Nattore, Northern Bengal, with a view to a scheme of irrigation for the district, will he state whether the Government have received a report on the subject, and the cost of the scheme which it is proposed to adopt.

(Answered by Secretary Lord George Hamilton.) I have no information on the subject of the scheme referred to.
