I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury if he will state whether the permanent heads of Departments of State have been requested to prepare statements upon different questions arising in the fiscal inquiry now proceeding; and, if so, whether these reports will ultimately be supplied to Members.

As I have before stated, the Government are making use, as it is obvious they must do, of the various Departments. More than that I cannot say.
