HC Deb 23 July 1903 vol 126 cc83-4
MR. MANSFIELD

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury have any steps been taken, or will any steps be taken, to place before the Chambers of Commerce of this country the particulars of the inquiry into the fiscal policy of this country, with a view of securing the opinion of commercial interests upon that part of our fiscal policy upon which the Government desires information.

MR. A. J. BALFOUR

Of course the representations of the Chambers of Com- merce will be carefully considered by His Majesty's Government. In addition to that, I think it is extremely probable that specific questions will be addressed to them.
