§ CAPTAIN NORTON (Newington, W.)I beg to ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether his attention has been called to a recent decision of the Lord Chief Justice in the High Court which has caused the Board of Inland Revenue to withdraw, as from the 30th September next, the concession hitherto granted to chemists in connection with the sale of common domestic medicines under the Medicine Stamp Acts; and whether, in the interest not only of the poorer classes, but also of the public safety, he will allow the concession to continue until some Amendment of the law can be made.
