HC Deb 06 July 1903 vol 124 c1405
MR. O'DOWD

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether, in view of the peaceable character of South Sligo generally, he will consider the advisability of having the extra police at present stationed in protection huts on the grazing farms of Leitrim Hill and Achonry removed from those districts.

MR. WYNDHAM

The police on duty at the places named belong to the ordinary force of the county, for which no charge is locally made. The extra force was withdrawn last month.
