HC Deb 06 July 1903 vol 124 cc1405-6
MR. TULLY

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he can state on what grounds it has been decided to permit a demonstration on 13th July at Rostrevor, in the County Down; whether any complaints have been received from the Roman Catholic population of that district as to the proposed demonstration, and what reply has been made to those complaints.

MR. WYNDHAM

I have nothing to add to my previous replies on this subject.

MR. T. M. HEALY (Louth, N.)

Has the right hon. Gentleman received a resolution from the Dundalk Catholics expressing apprehension of the use of firearms, and will he take steps to prevent it?

MR. WYNDHAM

The resolution has not been brought to my immediate notice. I will see what can be done.

MR. MACVEAGH

MR. WYNDHAM

I have nothing to add to the reply I have already given.
