HC Deb 26 February 1903 vol 118 c919
MR. MURNAGHAN (Tyrone, Mid.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he will consider the desirability of transferring to the County Council of Tyrone the disused gaol at Omagh for purposes of technical instruction or other useful object, subject, however, to such reservations as the Prisons Board required in a similar case in another county.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) The Prisons Board, with the consent of the Treasury, would be prepared to hand over this prison to the County Council, subject to the conditions referred to. No application in this respect, however, has yet been made to Government by the Council.
