HC Deb 02 April 1903 vol 120 c913
MR. LUKE WHITE (Yorkshire, E.R., Buckrose)

I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether on counties the liabilities of School Boards up to the appointed day under the Education Act will be apportioned and charged on each School Board district; and whether the proportion of grant up to such appointed day, together with any credit balance, will be allocated to the credit of each such district.

THE SECRETARY TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. GRANT LAWSON,) Yorkshire, N.R., Thirsk

I am consulting the Law Officers of the Crown on certain financial questions arising on the Act, and I must ask leave to defer a reply to the hon. Member until their opinion has been received.
