HC Deb 02 April 1903 vol 120 c894
MR. HENRY HOBHOUSE (Somersetshire, E.)

To ask the President of the Local Government Board if the new local educational authorities will have, under the provisions of Schedule II. (22) of the Education Act, 1902, to credit school board parishes with a proportion of the first Parliamentary grants paid to the local education authority in respect of the former board schools; and if so, with what proportion.

(Answered by Mr. Walter Long.) I am consulting the Law Officers of the Crown on certain financial questions arising on the Act, and I must ask leave to defer a reply to my hon. friend until their opinion has been received.
