§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether, in view of the fact that the Deer Forest Commission state, at Page X. of their Report, dated 10th March, 1895, that any scheme that would result in affording cottars the opportunity of obtaining crofts such as presently exist would operate a substantial relief both to the cottars themselves and to the neighbouring crofters, he will take steps to meet the requirements in this direction of the cottars in the Island of Lewis and on the western mainland of Ross-shire.
