To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether he can state the cost per head for trained seamen from the time they joined till they have passed through the gunnery and torpedo schools and are regarded as efficient.

(Answered by Mr. Arnold-Forster.) The average cost per head from time of joining to date of becoming either a seamen gunner in a gunnery school, or seamen torpedo man in a torpedo school, is a follows:—
