HC Deb 27 November 1902 vol 115 cc613-4
MR. BAIRD) (Glasgow, Central

To ask the Lord Advocate whether his attention has been drawn to an interlocutor issued by Sheriff Boyd, Glasgow, on the 19th November, in which he describes as dishonest the conduct of a certain lawyer in withholding, by means of false representations, damages which had been awarded to his client for injuries received in the course of his employment; and will he state whether he proposes to take any further steps in the case.

(Answered by Mr. A. Graham Murray.) The facts stated by my hon. friend are substantially correct. I am informed, however, that the case is under appeal, and I must await the result of that appeal before considering whether there is any action that ought to be taken.
