HC Deb 26 November 1902 vol 115 c502
MR. WEIR () Ross and Cromarty

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether he will consider the expediency of utilising the coal of British North Borneo for the supply of His Majesty's vessels on the China Station.

THE SECRETARY TO THE ADMIRALTY (Mr. ARNOLD-FORSTER,) Belfast, W.

British North Borneo coal is not so well adapted for H. M. ships as the coal used on the China Station. It has been used in small quantities for many years, and it will continue to be so used.
