HC Deb 20 November 1902 vol 115 cc28-9
MR. SLOAN

I beg to ask the Postmaster General whether he is aware that since the present Postmaster was appointed to Belfast every vacancy for assistant superintendents (with one exception) has been given to junior clerks; and will he arrange in future that the claims of senior clerks will be considered before an appointment is made.

MR. AUSTEN CHAMBERLAIN

The claims of all the officers referred to shall be considered for promotion as vacancies occur.
