HC Deb 20 November 1902 vol 115 c29
MR. LONSDALE (Armagh, Mid)

I beg to ask the Postmaster General whether he will give particulars of the amount of postal business transacted at Ballymoney and Portrush respectively, and state the reasons which have led to the abandonment of the project of providing a new post-office at Ballymoney, while new premises for postal purposes are being advertised for at Portrush.

MR. AUSTEN CHAMERLAIN

The Post Office business at Portrush is about 70 per cent. larger than that at Ballymoney. The post office at Ballymoney has recently been enlarged, and a new office is not required there. At Portrush a larger office will be required before long.
