HC Deb 17 November 1902 vol 114 cc1105-6
MR. D. A. THOMAS (Merthyr Tydvil)

To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty if he can give an analysis of Granity Creek coal as supplied to the China Squadron, i.e., the percentages it contains of fixed carbon, hydro-carbon, water, and ash; and also its evaporative power computed by the multiple most generally used.

(Answered by Mr. Arnold-Forster.) I am unable to give the information asked for in the first part of the hon. Member's Question, as it is not immediately available. It is not considered desirable in the public interest to give the details as to evaporative power.
