HC Deb 13 November 1902 vol 114 c867
DR. THOMPSON

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he will state why the Local Government Board for Ireland reduced the salary of the medical officer of the Emyvale (County Monaghan) Dispensary below the sum arranged by the local authority.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) The Board of Guardians proposed to fix the salary at £160 a year. Having regard, however, to the salaries paid to medical officers of other dispensary districts in the union, and to the general circumstances of the several districts, the Local Government Board considered that the salary should be fixed at £145.
