§ MR. PIRIE (Aberdeen, N.)To ask the Secretary of State for War can he state the number of effective non-commissioned officers and men of over three months service in the 1st and 2nd Army Corps respectively, giving the numbers of regulars, militia, and efficient volunteers.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) The detailed figures required can only be obtained by calling for Returns from each unit concerned. Every effort is now being made to cut down Returns, and the hon. Member will doubtless agree as to the undesirability of calling for the figures.
