HC Deb 10 November 1902 vol 114 c455
MR. SULLIVAN

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that a short time ago fever broke out in a police barracks within the poor law union of Athlone; that the constabulary patients in the barracks were attended at the Athlone Fever Hospital at the cost of the ratepayers of the union, and that the Inspector General of the Royal Irish Constabulary has refused to pay the account amounting to £58 14s. 9d. for the medical treatment of the police; and, if so, will he state upon what grounds the Inspector General came to this decision.

(Answered by Mr. Wyndham.) The matter is engaging my attention. I will communicate the result of my inquiries to the hon. Member in due course.
