HC Deb 09 May 1902 vol 107 c1231
SIR EDGAR VINCENT (Exeter)

To ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he can now state when he proposes to appoint a Committee on the whole question of Supply; also to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether the Government propose to leave the control of this House, as regards expenditure, in its present condition.

(Answer.) These questions may perhaps be answered together. It is the intention of the Government to propose the appointment of a Committee to consider whether, in certain respects, the machinery at present available for the examination and criticism of Estimates might not be improved. The precise terms of reference will be placed upon the Table shortly.—(Treasury.)
