§ MR. WEIR (ROSS and Cromarty)To ask the Lord Advocate whether the diary kept by the light keepers at Tiumpan Head Lighthouse, Island of Lewis, shows that trawlers have been observed illegally trawling in Broad Bay; and, if so, will be say on how many occasions.
(Answer.) I am informed by the Fishery Board that the diary kept by the Tiumpan Head light keepers shows that trawlers were observed working illegally in Broad Bay on two occasions in 1901, and once during 1902.—(Scottish Office)
