§ MR. WEIRI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies, having regard to the fact that forty-three persons lost their lives through the collapse of a house in Cochrane Street, Hong - Kong, last autumn, will he state whether the accident, which is alleged to have been due to defects of construction, was made the subject of a public Inquiry; if so, will he state the result of such Inquiry, and whether it is proposed to take any action against the authority responsible for the inspection of the building while it was in course of construction.
