HC Deb 21 March 1902 vol 105 c714
MR. COLSTON (Gloucestershire, Thornbury)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether the sergeant majors of the Regular Army and Militia and non-commissioned permanent staff of the auxiliary forces will, under the new Army scheme, enjoy the increased pay and other advantages proposed to be given to other ranks of the service.

MR. BRODRICK

The sergeant majors of the regular forces and Militia and the non-commissioned officers on the permanent staff of the auxiliary forces who are serving on their Army engagements will be granted the increases of pay mentioned—on the dates on which they become payable to other ranks.
