I beg to ask the Secretary of State for India, with regard to the contingent of 1,000 native troops drawn from our Indian Armies, who are to assist at Coronation ceremonies, if he will state by whom the cost of bringing over and carrying back the contingent will be borne, whether by the Indian or British Treasury.

The cost of bringing over and carrying back the Indian contingent which is to assist at the Coronation ceremonies will be borne by the Indian Treasury. They are to be carried in a vessel of the Royal Indian Marine.
