§ MR. MARKHAMI beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether his attention has been drawn to a public statement made by Mr. A. Wilmot, a Member of the Legislative Council of Cape Colony, to the effect that Lord Milner desires to establish a nominated Legislative Council in Cape Colony, and has recommended that this policy be adopted; and if he has any official information respecting this statement.
