HC Deb 11 June 1902 vol 109 c352
MR. WEIR

To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that railway companies are in the habit of advertising the names, addresses, and occupations of persons who have committed offences against their byelaws; and, in view of the fact that the persons convicted of such offences have been punished, can he take any steps such as will terminate this system.

(Answer.) So far as my information goes the practice referred to is not general among railway companies. The railway companies which adopt the practice do so on their own responsibility, and I have no power to intervene in the matter.—(Board of Trade.)
