PAULTONI beg to ask the Secretary of State for War, whether any arrangements are being made for the disposal of the stocks of cattle, horses, and supplies which will no longer be necessary for military purposes, with a view to securing them for those whose farms have been cleared during the recent operations in South Africa.
LORD STANLEYThe disposal of the stocks in question is now being carefully considered by the authorities in South Africa, and full consideration is being given to the points suggested in the Question.
