§ LORD CHARLES BERESFORDTo ask the Secretary of State for War whether, in the new scheme of pay for 127 the Regular Army, the non-commissioned officers receive any increase, and, if so, what proportion does it bear to the increase to be allowed to the rank and file.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Brodrick.) Non-commissioned officers and privates participate equally in the new advantages, and it has been decided to considerably increase the number of the paid lance ranks.
