HC Deb 31 January 1902 vol 102 c36
MR. P. A. M'HUGH

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether, seeing that the owners of Kilgariff Farm, Dowra, county Leitrim, offered to sell it to the Congested Districts Board with a view to the enlargement of small holdings in the congested district adjoining, he can state what steps the Congested Districts Board have taken to secure the farm for the purpose mentioned; and, will he request the Board to hasten the negotiations, in view of the fact that the owners are willing to sell, and that the intervention of the Board was applied for three years ago by those interested and was promised by the Board.

MR. WYNDHAM

No decision has yet been arrived at by the Board in reference to the purchase of this farm. The Inspector will take an early opportunity of visiting and reporting upon the land.
