§ MR. LABOUCHERE (Northampton)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether, seeing that several surrenders of town guards and other South African forces have taken place since the last session of Parliament, involving the loss of horses, rifles, and ammunition, such incidents have been reported to the War Office, or by the Colonial Ministry to the Colonial Office; and, whether such incidents, not being reported in Lord Kitchener's published diaries, will be separately communicated to Parliament.
§ MR. BRODRICKA few incidents of this nature have occurred. They have been fully investigated by Lord Kitchener, who has dealt with them. It is not, however, the practice to lay before Parliament the proceedings of the Courts of Inquiry held in such cases.
