HC Deb 21 January 1902 vol 101 cc461-2
MR. FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade, whether he has had any further correspondence with the German Government respecting the operations of their Law, lately introduced, regulating exchange transactions in food stuffs, by preventing gambling in futures in corn; and, whether he will consider the advisability of co-operating with the Governments of those countries which are endeavouring by legislation to prevent corners in food supplies being engineered by exchange dealers.

MR. GERALD BALFOUR

The answer to both paragraphs is in the negative.
