§ *SIR M. HICKS BEACH (for Lord Cranborne)The troops other than Chinese stationed at Shanghai are believed to be approximately as follows: British, 860; French, 700; Japanese, 500; Germans, 800. No arrangements have yet been made for final evacuation.
