As regards the Intelligence Branch and the Remount Department, my hon. and gallant friend will find the information he requires in two Parliamentary Papers presented in 1899, viz.: Orders in Council defining the duties of the Principal Officers charged with the Administration of the Army, printed 17th March, 1899, and Memorandum showing the duties of the Principal Officers and Departments of the War Office, and details of Office Procedure under Order in Council of 7th March, 1899, numbered C.9230. As regards the Military Attachés, they take their instructions from the Foreign Office.
