ROCHE (Galway, E.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, whether under the Police Code a constable on marriage in his district has to be removed to another county and district; whether he is aware that the postmistress at Woodlawn, County Galway, is married to a police constable in the same district; and whether he will cause inquiry to be made into the matter with a view to the carrying out of the proper regulations.
§ MR. WYNDHAMThe rule to which the hon. Member refers does not apply to this case, inasmuch as the wife of the constable in question is not a native of the county.
